Student outreach at a local ymca

 

In May of 2015, my LASA High School Engineering Design class partnered with the YMCA to do some STEM activities with 5th-8th graders. This program was free and open to everyone!

I LOVE the name of the program -- my students came up with it!
We only had two students show up for our first trial run of our program, but it was still a lot of fun and really educational.
Students, mentors, and teachers all collaborated on projects.
